Think of cellular accessories and you probably think about carrying cases or belt clips. There are even accessories on the market from the Didn't Know You Need It Department. But the most amazing one of all has been totally overlooked, straight from the Didn't Even Know It Was An Accessory Department! This is because it's not thought of as an accessory as it isn't an object to go with a cell phone but a service that's performed on one. But consider what it means to accessorize your cell phone. Doesn't it mean to help you use your cell phone better somehow, and/or enhance your experience of the device? Well, "unlocking" your phone, while not an accessory as such, certainly enhances your experience of your phone!
More than carrying cases or belt clips, unlocking your GSM cell phone is the ultimate in cellular accessories in this sense, a true must-have for every GSM phone owner. Many service providers lock their GSM phones with programming so the phones won't work with SIM cards from another carrier. Unlocking your GSM phone means to reverse that programming so that it will work with any SIM card, from any carrier.
But won't your service provider mind? In all likelihood, no. Unless there is a specific stipulation in your service contract that obliges you to never alter your phone in any way whatsoever, it's your phone, you own it. And even with such a clause, it's still possible to unlock your phone anyway. Just be sure to keep the unlocking codes for future reference, because there has been a report of a carrier relocking a phone even though it wasn't issued by that carrier in the first place! You can tell whether your GSM phone is unlocked simply by trying to use another SIM card with it, as all GSM phones are unlockable.
Entering secret codes yourself is just one way to unlock a phone, as others will require a reflash of their firmware. In such situations, phones will need to be sent to a company that can provide the service, due to the special hardware which will then be required.
Not all companies will be able to reflash all makes and models of GSM cell phones, so be sure to first check that your particular phone is serviceable. There are some phones that are generally unlocked through codes that can be very cheaply purchased while many types of phones will require a firmware rewrite or reflash.

My Hero [Chapter 12 part 1]
[Nicks POV]
I woke up the next morning with the feeling like someone was watching me. I shot up in bed and saw Kevin and Joe watching intently as I slept. I turned to my right and saw JoJo sleeping peacefully next to me I smiled but I turned my attention to my brothers.
"what the hell are you guys doing here!" I asked in a whisper yell trying not to wake JoJo up.
"we should be asking you the same question." Joe said as he wiggled his foot. This meant he was serious.
"she wanted me to sleep here." Kevin shot me one of those "hope you didn't do what I think you did" looks. Yeah it's a lot to say in a look but its Kevin. "I'm in a shirt and pants, she is in a hoodie and pants. Nothing happened. how did you even know I was here."
"well..." Joe began " I woke up and went to Kevin's room to see if he had a razor. He said no so we came to ask you if you had one. You being so sneaky you locked the door between yours and Kevin's room. SOOOO...we went to my room and were planning on going through JC's room to get to yours but apparently we didn't have to go very far!"
"I see. You guys had some quite of an adventure." I said laughing at Joe. He always liked to go into so much detail when he told his stories. "well I'm gonna go get ready because its JoJo's last day here and we have the day off so I must make it a memorable one."
"whatever Jonas." Joe said getting up. He walked up close to me and got close to my face. "you break her heart and I will kill you." he said. I just smiled at him.
" I love the girl. Why would I break her heart?"
"I don't know. But just remember that ok." I saluted him and headed for my room.
[Jocelyn's POV]
I woke up and found no nick sleeping next tome. Dang it was just a dream I thought. I sighed and got out of bed. I took a quick shower and slipped on some jeans a t-shirt and let my natural waves of my hair just fall over my shoulders. I walked over to the bed to grab my cell phone when I saw a note on the night stand.
DON'T WORRY IT WASN'T A DREAM. WHEN YOURE READY MEET ME IN THE LOBBY. BRING COMFORTABLE SHOES AND CLOTHES CUZ WE ARE GOING TO BE OUT ALL DAY

I smiled at his note. The little things he does all the time always gets to me. I put on my comfy tennis shoes and headed out the door. I walked into the lobby and saw nick sitting in one of the chairs. He gave me butterflies and I felt my heart race as I started to walk up closer to him. When he turned and saw me he smiled and my heart skipped a beat. Why didn't I realize before how I love this boy so much. I saw how sunny it was outside so I began to put my hair up.
"leave it down. It looks prettier that way." he said to me. I smiled and let my hair down. "you ready for the best day of your life?" I nodded yes.
He took my hand in his and we headed out the door. The busy streets of New York city amazed me. I didn't really get a chance to see much of it last night but I was glad I was getting to experience it with him. We went into a couple of stores and just joked around a lot. I must have taken a million pictures with him. We were "modeling" clothes and accessories we would find. He had me laughing the whole time. I loved it. I don't think I've had this much fun ever. We got to a small theater and I looked at him confused.
"what are we doing here woobie?" I asked him.
"well I'm getting to live my dream but I want you to live yours too."
I was still completely lost.
"remember when you started high school and they had that audition to do a summer program for dance?"
I remembered. That year I trained so hard the summer before and during the year. I was so ready but a few weeks before I pulled my hamstring and wasn't allowed to try out. I was devastated. I'm still hurt about that. I wanted so bad to dance in New York with a company.
"yeah." I said sadly.
"well I pulled some strings and I found the guy who owns the company. I told him what happened to you." he took my hand "and he said he would give you a dance lesson and hopefully have you perform tonight for one show."
I couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth.
"don't lie to me Jonas." I said in shock.
"I'm not lying" he smiled at me as I shrieked and jumped for joy.
"wait I don't have my shoes and stuff."
"he said he'd take care of it."
He took my hand and we walked inside of the theater. It was beautiful. More than I could have ever dreamed or imagined. I ran up to the stage and stood right in the middle of it flabbergasted. [I like that word lol] mr. reeves [I dunno I made up a name] came out from the wings and walked over to me.
"ready to dance?" he asked me handing me some clothes.
"I was born ready."
