What are subwoofers? They are big speakers that turn your movie-watching experience an extraordinary one. Most of the time, they are placed at the back of the room or just anywhere as long as they are not exposed for everyone to see. Subwoofers basically improves the sound of your home entertainment system because it gives lowest and intense bass signals that could be furniture-shaking and heart-pounding.
So in selecting Subwoofers, what exactly do you need to know? Make sure you have the budget for the type of subwoofer that you wish to buy. If you are on a low budget, there are some modest systems that could work for you. For high-end systems, you would want to buy more powerful subwoofers but make sure you save enough money for that.Do you have neighbors who are close to you? This is also one important thing that you should consider if you want to buy a sub. If you are living in an apartment building, more likely your neighbors will hear the noise that you are making especially if they do not appreciate listening to music. Also, you might not know if there are babies that you could possibly disturb during their sleep. If that is the case, then it's probably not a good idea to buy a subwoofer.You got to match your subwoofer to the size of the room where you will place it. You will only need a small sub for a small space and a bigger sub for bigger spaces. If the place is massive, you might want to get more than one sub.You may also want to prepare the place where you are going to put your subwoofer. If ever your sub won't fit your room, make sure the store offers a generous return policy for you to get a replacement sub that will fit your place perfectly.If you are more of a music lover and not really into watching movies that much, then you should consider first the type of subwoofer that you will get. There are subs that are designed to be good in music and there are ones that are better with movies. So make sure you get the one that is designed to meet your needs. These are just a few tips that I can give you before you make a move. Make sure you spend your money wisely on subwoofers that function well. You wouldn't want to keep the ones that would just give you a headache. Invest well on the best subwoofers to prevent problems in the future.

Google I/O 2009 - ThoughtWorks on App Engine for Java: An Enterprise Cumulonimbus?

Enterprise software pundits are now gazing metaphorically skyward. There's all this talk of clouds, but what kind of clouds are coming, and will they be friendly? We begin by describing some applications we've developed for App Engine, including implementation of other languages, such as JRuby, on top of the App Engine for Java implementation. These implementations demonstrate the breadth of capability provided by App Engine. We then examine some of the strengths and current weaknesses that we encountered. We also describe more about the implications for testing that arise when developing on App Engine. We will also present an initial framework for characterizing these differnet clouds and examine how these characteristics will impact the adoption path for enterprises and the kinds of applications these enterprises will move to the cloud. Of particular interest here is the central role of Big Table in App Engine. Broad adoption of this of this platform could lead to lots of lightening striking at the dominant role relational data base systems currently enjoy.
